Thank you for your event participation. On behalf of USA Field Hockey, Disney Sports Attractions and GET Travel Sports, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2012 Field Hockey Showcase being held, once again, at the prestigious ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
This Event is a one-of-a-kind spring Field Hockey competition! The event combines high profile field hockey competition within a World Class Sporting Venue. Not many young athletes can boast playing in a World Famous Sports Venue by day and then playing in World Famous Entertainment Venue by night… That's the magic of Disney!!
As the Tournament's official travel provider, GET Travel Sports is proud to enter our third year offering quality services to Athletes, Coaches, Families and Spectators. Our commitment is to provide you everything you need for an enjoyable and affordable visit to Orlando Florida.
As you are aware, this marquee event has a "Stay to Play" housing program. Stay-to-Play requires that all teams (Athletes & Coaches) support the Tournament structure by booking at one of the Tournament's pre-selected program properties. All properties are approved by the Tournament and selected in advance, based on quality, location, affordability and successful use in previous field hockey programs.
Our program hotels offer Teams a wide selection of accommodation choices including Disney Resort Hotels (over 15), Disney Good Neighbor - Off-site Hotel Properties (over 20) as well as very large selection of Central Florida - multi-unit condos and homes (over 5000 units). With this large array of choices, the Tournament Housing Program can provide you choices on important requests:
- great location (.5 miles and up),
- quality brands (Disney, Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, etc),
- service amenities (large rooms, free parking, refrigerators, breakfast, etc)
- affordability (from $59 and up)
Also, we've listened to your feedback over the past few events. We appreciate all the positives and are taking action on the challenges we can control. Below is what is NEW for 2012!!
- Extended customer service staffing hours
- Coaches can block rooms online and hold for 14 days without deposit
- Improved program hotel selection
- Later Final Payment Dates (Final payment charged at 7 Days for Disney Hotels & 3 Days for Off Property Hotels)
- More traditional Automatic Final Payment to credit card (vs. making an extra call to authorize final payment)
- Better Cancellation Terms to 15 days out (was 30 days out)
- Individual Cancellations allowed up to 72 business hours out (conditions apply)
- Price Match Guarantee – if a lower rate is found at a program hotel we will match it (conditions apply)
- Added forms online to assist in better communications with each other
- Pre-Event webinar opportunity to talk live with your GET Travel staff
