Disney's California Adventure™ Park

Right next to Disneyland park is the Resort’s second theme park showcasing Disney fun with a whole new attitude - Disney’s California Adventure park. All the best of California is gathered together in four themed lands just waiting to be explored. Y9ouo can soar above the states famed landmarks. Roar down white water rapids. Go behind the scenes of a Hollywood. Thrill to a classic seaside amusement park. And even be a bug for a day! Disney’s California Adventure park takes you to the far reaches of your imagination with amazing adventures that only Disney can create!

Hours of Operation
Disney’s California Adventure park typically opens at 9:00 am. The closing time varies from 7:00 pm to 10:00pm. The later closing times occur near the winter holidays, the Easter holiday, and during the summer, generally from late June through late August.

Block Party Bash
Play, party and dance when Disney presents the Pixar Film Pals in Block Party Bash, the wildest, most interactive parade in Disney history! Groove to fun party songs, delight to amazing acrobatics, and laugh along with the Pixar Film Pals as the explode onto the streets of Disney’s California Adventure park inviting you to party with them! The energy of the show-stopping, musical parade extravaganza will have you exclaiming “What a party!”

Turtle Talk with Crush – NEW!
Turtle Talk with Crush inspired by a Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, “Finding Nemo”, invites you to see Crush the green sea turtle, while visiting Disney’s California Adventure park. Crush’s son, Squirt has been asking him a lot of questions about the human world and Crush, being the ultimate dad, has come straight to the source, YOU, to find the answers to Squirts many questions.

Visit with Crush and share an interactive unforgettable moment as he asks you about the human world and you ask him about life in the sea. Hurry in, grad a shell and share a memorable moment with Crush!

Monsters, Inc., Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! – NEW!
Kid-tastrophe! There’s a child on the loose in Monstropolis, and it’s up to Mike and Sulley to get her home. Join your favorite giant, furry, blue monster, Sulley, and his one eyed, green friend, Mike, on “Monsters, Inc., Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!” as they race through Monstropolis trying to get Boo home safely. Watch out for the yellow suited Child Detection Agents (CDA’s) who will drop in anywhere trying to rid Monstropolis of the dangerous threat they see in Boo. On top of that, keep an eye out for Randall Boogs, Sulley’s rival. Who has been following the group with devious plans to stop Mike and Sulley from getting Boo home? This exciting race through town will take you, Mike, Sulley and Boo to many places in Monstropolis and ultimately to Monsters, Inc. where Boo’s bedroom door awaits. Will Mike and Sulley ever get Boo home?

The Twilight Zone of Terror
The Twilight Zone of Terror invites thrill-seekers to “drop in” for a spine tingling ride into another dimension of terrifying fun! Drop In If You Dare!

Hollywood Pictures Backlot
Hollywood Pictures Backlot is glamorous and fun Hollywood – not a real place, but as a backlot movie set surrounded by sound-stages housing attractions. When you pass through enormous gates into fantasy Hollywood Boulevard, you will enjoy the Disney Animation attraction where you can interact with Disney animated characters do voice-overs and learn how animated features are created. The Hyperion Theater is a 2,000 seat Broadway –style theater featuring live musical reviews. Disney took entertainment to new levels with “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular.” The show has dancing genies, flying carpets, larger-than-life scenes and amazing stage effects! Playhouse Disney – Live On Stage! offers young people the opportunity to sing and dance with their favorite Playhouse Disney characters from Bear of Jim Henson’s “Bear in the Big Blue House” to “Rolie Polie Olie” and “Stanley”

Golden State
Explore the rugged California mountains or the amazing history of California aviation in the Golden State. In Condor Flats, a must do is Soarin’ Over California, an exhilarating airborne adventure over majestic California landscapes. Shoot the rapids on Grizzly River Run and climb, stretch, scramble and slide through the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

“a bug’s land”
“a bug’s land” is a whole new land where young people can experience a fun filled world from bug’s point of view. Guest “bug’s” will love the “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” the humorous 3D adventure and Bountiful Valley Farm, where you can interact with “bugologists” and have fun at the show “The Ugly Bug Ball.” New to this land is Flik’s Fun Fair, where you can fly, splash, squirt, crawl and play with Disney bug friends in this oversized play area for young people.

Paradise Pier
At Paradise Pier you can travel back in time when California’s beachfront amusement piers were bright, sunny, noisy and full of energy. Every amusement pier had a roller coaster and Paradise Pier is no different. California Screamin’ catapults you from 0 to 55 mph in four seconds. Ride colorful sea creatures on the whimsical King Triton’s Carousel. And there is much more – no one should miss it.
